Return to Ethiopia--November 1

Welcome to my blog. This is a new experience for me. So bear with me as I figure out how blogging works.

My date for returning to Ethiopia is November 1, 2009. I fly out of Des Moines at 1:25 pm. I can't wait to see my teammates, my friends, my dog (Gegeessa) my landcruiser and my house. As a bonus I get to skip the Iowa winter! After arriving I will soon be joined by a vet technician, Amber will be with me for 6 weeks and will help me finish up my veterinary research.

Pray for my back that it continues to heal. Pray for this last part of October that I can be an encouragement to various people at the vet school, and that I can finish up the research. Also pray for Borana and those working there while I am still here. Pray for progress to be made in purchasing Bibles for the Borana.

  1. What a great way to stay up to date on what you're doing! We are praying for you. By the way, what does Gegeessa's name mean?

  2. Denise-
This is a great idea. We're all praying for you! In all your research writing lately, if you wrote up anything on procedures that would be a potential resource later for others, could you send it to me? I love to collect info that would help others-it might be an actual procedure, or a great story that reflects either the process or the potential impact-or even the challenges! Thanks Denise

    In Christ, Karen
